It’s no secret that one of our favourite holidays here at Boo HQ is Halloween and this little Easy Eggless Baked Doughnut recipe will help you celebrate in a fun and tasty way all while being super healthy, and who doesn’t love that? Happy Baking.
For the doughnuts (recipe makes 6)
1 cup plain flour
2 tbsp ground almonds
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
3 tbsp maple syrup, honey or fruit syrup
3 1/2 tbsp oil
Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Mix milk & apple cider vinegar (leave aside for a few minutes)
In a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients
Combine both including vanilla, honey & oil
Mix well and pour into greased doughnut mould – Bake for around 15 minutes until brown
For the icing:
1 cup icing sugar @whitworths_sugar
1 tbsp Cocoa powder @creativenature
2 tbsp of water (add more if you need to)
Mix the ingredient above together and add more water if needed. Dip the tops of the doughnut into the glaze and top with sprinkles.
